James Christie Traill, Castlehill House, Caithness; his sale, Christie’s London, 14 July 1911, lot 109 (14,700 gns. to the following). with Duveen, London and New York. with Henry Reinhardt, New York, 1912, from whom purchased in 1912 by Edward Drummond Libbey, by whom gifted in 1926 to the Toledo Museum of Art.
